Nothing Like Dreaming was completed in November 2004. The film was written and directed by Nora Jacobson, (My Mother's Early Lovers, Delivered Vacant) and produced by Off The Grid Productions. It was lensed in native 16x9 aspect ratio with the Sony DSR 500 WS by Danish cinematographer Lasse Toft.

The cast includes John Griesemer, (THE BOILER ROOM , RAW NERVE, THE CRUCIBLE, MALCOLM X); Rusty Dewees, (THE LOGGER, PIECES OF APRIL, BLACK DOG, STRANGER IN THE KINGDOM, WHERE THE RIVERS FLOW NORTH; George Woodard (THE MUDGE BOY, ETHAN FROME, MY MOTHER'S EARLY LOVERS), and the late folk singer Rachel Bissex, well loved on the national folk music circuit. Emma is played by the talented young actress Morgan Bicknell, a recent graduate from Middlebury College.

SOUND and MUSIC

Internationally renowned French sculptor and sound artist Michel Moglia designed and built Sonny's fire organ. Composer Larry Polansky (Grammy-nominated "LONESOME ROAD" and co-creator of the music composition software program, Soundhack) wrote the score. Award-winning composer and sound designer Brenda Hutchinson, ("VIOLET FLAME", "LIQUID SKY," "HOW DO YOU GET TO CARNEGIE HALL") is the sound designer.
