Nothing Like Dreaming was shot on DVCAM with a Sony DSR 500 wide screen camera. It was completed in November 2004, and is available in a variety of digital video formats, with 5.1 surround sound as well as stereo. We hope to blow it up to 35mm.

THE CAST includes George Woodard (America Heart & Soul, The Mudge Boy, Ethan Frome) as Sonny Gale; John Griesemer as Jess (The Boiler Room, Raw Nerve, The Crucible, Malcolm X), Siri Baruc (Law and Order, Spliced) as Lara, and Rusty Dewees (Pieces of April, The Logger, Where The Rivers Flow North), as Red. Morgan Bicknell, who plays Emma, is a recent graduate of Middlebury College. The late folksinger Rachel Bissex , who plays Rachel, was a well loved singer/songwriter on the folk music circuit. She died in February 2005, tragically, of breast cancer at the age of 47.

THE FIRE ORGAN was designed by Michel Moglia, an internationally known fire artist from France, best known for large site-specific installations involving fire powered musical instruments. Moglia traveled to Vermont during production to work with production designer Antoinette Jacobson to build a fire organ for the film. He taught the actors to play it and played it himself during key scenes.

THE FILM SCORE was written by Larry Polansky(composer of the Grammy-nominated "Lonesome Road"; and the Sound Design for Sonny Gale's unusual acoustical environment was designed by Brenda Hutchinson(Liquid Sky, Violet Flame).
